![]() ![]() I'd imagine an inventive player could set up some method for pulling the reload levers one-handed (since I believe officially you'd still need two hands to be able to fire-and-reload). So while Endless Ammunition would give you an endless supply of bolts, a Hand Crossbow would still be a Move-action to reset, unless it was Repeating. So, while this may appear to be a weird contradiction in how things are handled, if you look at a real repeating crossbow design then you should realize they really were significantly easier to load and fire rapidly. Just adding a magazine to drop in the bolt seems like it wouldn't help, but it's actually a complete redesign of the reset mechanism. Note that the longer actions for the other crossbows aren't just in reloading, but also in resetting them - pulling the string back by hand/lever/winch (for hand/light/heavy crossbows respectively) doesn't actually reload it, just resets it - dropping the bolt in is a free action at that point. The wording on the Repeating Crossbow makes reloading a free action (pull the lever). /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
